Acupuncture Dover kent

Having heartburn or acidic reflux once in a while is not an unusual thing. But, some people face the burning, bleach and discomfort every single time when they eat anything. Commonly, the muscular tube in our throat that allows the food to pass into the stomach from your mouth and then shuts itself down to stop coming food back again is called the oesophagal sphincter.

If this tube, instead of shutting it down, just makes itself relaxed, then the food will take the loosened openings and will move upwards in the tube. This will result in acid reflux. Food that you eat in daily life plays an important role in causing and controlling acid reflux. Before moving towards the ways to control acidic reflux, let us go through the things that will cause this issue. Foods that cause acid reflux

How Do You Fight the Reflux Situation?

One of the ancient Chinese techniques is known as acupuncture Dover Kent. Acupuncture is a technique that is done with specially designed needles, and these are inserted into the skin. This technique affects the digestive system and gut-brain communication. This improved the nervous system that decides how food moves in our digestive system. It is important to confirm that the doctor or expert doing acupuncture should know where to pin the needle for relief in acidic reflux.

Foods That Often Cause Acid Reflux or Heartburn:

It would help if you understood why foods cause acid reflux. Some foods cause the oesophagal sphincter to relax and delay the digestion process. When it is relaxed, it loosens the closing and delayed digestion means the food, spices and drinks that you intake will stay in your stomach for a longer time. This situation will be worse if the food is high in fats, salt and spices. Fried foods, fast food, pizza, potato crisps, any processed snacks, chilli powder, cheese and sausage will cause bad situations. All these foods are rich in fats, oil and spices. Some other foods include excessive intake of chocolates, peppermint, carbonated drinks and citrus fruits.

How to Encounter Such Foods?

You can not totally eliminate all or any of these foods from your life. So, to be moderate is the key to success. But one thing you can easily do is avoid eating these foods late evening or closer to bedtime. If you do so, they will not stay longer in your stomach while you sleep and then come up while you lay down. Also, instead of having a big meal at once, you should divide it into four parts. Take small portions of a big meal with reasonable delay to not cause any burden on your stomach.

Foods That Will Stop Acid Reflux:

The good news is that if some foods cause acid reflux, then plenty of foods are healthy and help prevent this discomfort. It would help if you always had some of these foods stock in your kitchen.

1. High Fibre Foods:

You might have heard that fibre-rich foods are good for the stomach. They make you feel full, and you are saved from overeating, and overeating helps in heartburn.

Brown rice, oatmeal, couscous from the whole grains, root vegetables like sweet potatoes and carrots and green vegetables like broccoli, green beans and asparagus are vital for anti-oxidants  or acidic flux foods.

2. Watery Foods:

Foods that contain a rich amount of water are called watery foods. This can dilute and weaken the stomach acid burn. Clery, cucumber, lettuce, watermelon, and herbal tea are on the top chart for this reason

3. Alkaline Food:

Foods that have low pH scores are generally the cause of acidic reflux. Foods with a higher pH scale are alkaline and help offset the stomach acid. These foods include bananas, melons, cauliflower, nuts and fennel

4. Milk:

Milk helps in soothing heartburn. Take care of the fact that all milk is different. Some are fat included, and some are nonfat and skim. The fat milk can increase acidic reflux, but the milk that is nonfat will help as a temporary buffer between the lining and acidic stomach, and the milk component provides instant relief to heartburn symptoms. You can use both warm and chilled milk, but I prefer the chilled milk to make everything cool in the stomach.
